2015 Hard Granite Drilling Rig for African Quarry
Open-air DTH drill rig is a self-propelled hydraulic drilling equipment, it is equipped with high torque hydraulic motor, heavy-duty hydraulic drill arm, reliable and stable hydraulic system, sensitive amplitude motion carriage and low/medium/high air pressure DTH hammer. Mainly used in drilling work such as in opencast mining, road building, tunnel digging engineering spects.
Also known as Crawler Drill, Blast Hole Drill Rig or Crawler Drilling Rig (in some regions it may be called Wagon Drill or Drill Wagon), is broadly used in the industries of mining, quarry & construction.
It is primarily used to drill holes on surface or do “drill & blast” tunneling tasks through solid rocks. Under the guidance of a geologist, the drill rig operator can drill blast holes up to 100 feet deep or more at exact coordinates to accept explosive charges.
Usually speaking, the blast holes’ diameter is ranging from 75-140mm and 20m deep hole is workable for blasting purpose. While operating, the crawler drill works with a separated air compressor or built-in one.
