Characteristics:

a. Saybolt Viscometer is used to determine viscosity of thick petrol asphalt, bitumen emulsions and liquid petrol asphalt under high temperature.

b. It is also used to determine the construction temperature of asphalt.

c. As usual, the temperature of thick petrol asphalt is 120~180°c.
