1. Characteristic

a. Used to measure the resistance of road stone to the polishing action of vehicle tires on a road surface.

b. Specimens are manufactured in accurately machined and matched moulds; they are then removed from the moulds and located on the " Road Wheel".

c. Abrasives are continuously fed to the road wheel.

d. Water is introduced at a controlled rate via a variable flow meter and self-contained water supply.

e. Used water and abrasives are collected in a large removable tray.

f. This machine provides a method of preparing polished stone specimens for use with the friction tester PSV-2 when used in laboratory environment.
