Needle Punched Geotextile For Highway/Railway/Dam Liner are generally preferred for applications where high strength properties are needed, but where filtration requirements are less critical and planar flow is not a consideration. Under heavy traffic and construction loads, geotextile reduce localized shear failure in weak subsoil conditions, improving construction over soft subsoil and providing access to remote areas through separation.
Needle Punched Geotextile For Highway/Railway/Dam Liner Application:
1.Geotextile is used as a separating (filtering) layer between soil and fill materials (sand, gravel chippings, etc);
2. Geotextile with high density can be used as reinforcement layer on flexible soils;
3. Applied to reinforce beds of dirt collectors acting at the same time as filters and substituting for a sand layer;
4. Prevents soil particles get into drain systems (basement and flat roofs drainage);
5.While tunnel construction geotextile protects insulation coating from damages, forms a drain layer, drains away ground and storm waters;
6. Geotextile acts as a filter under bank reinforcement;
7.Applied as heat and acoustic insulation.
Needle Punched Geotextile For Highway/Railway/Dam Liner Installation:
1.The geotextile should be placed on the prepared slope or other surface to be protected. All folds and wrinkles should be removed from the geotextile before the block is placed on top of it.
2.Place the geotextile so that there is sufficient overlap to seal the seams for intrusion of water and ensure minimal stretch of the geotextile material. Upstream strips of material must overlap the downstream strips and upslope strips overlap down-slope strips.
3.The upstream strips of material must overlap the downstream strips and upslope strips overlap down-slope strips.
4.There should be no voids or airspace between the subgrade and the geotextile so intimate contact can be maintained with the two surfaces. Once the geotextile is placed, the work area should not be disturbed. This is necessary to avoid any contact loss between the pipeline mat and the geotextile and the geotextile and the subgrade.
