Isomalto oligosaccharide syrup(powder) Isomalto oligosaccharide

                                         is a new function sweetener.It is made from high quality corn starch through hydrolysis by enzyme preparation and refining,mainly containing isomaltose,panose and isomaltorise.

 

Physical and chemical properties:

1) Sweetener Characteristics: has Soft sweet; is 30-40% of sucrose

2) The viscosity of IMO liquid is low and similar to Sucrose solution, has a good Liquidity and good operability.

3) Heat & Acid resistance: has a good heat and acid resistance. At a high temperature, heating for a while in the acid solution of PH 3-4, the Molecular Structure has Minor decomposition.

4) The Maillard action easily takes place

5) Moisturizing, hygroscopic characteristics

6)  Antimicrobial activity and water activity.

7) Lower the freezing point

8) Anti- denaturalization of corn starch

 

The functional effects:

1) High purified multiplication factor of Bifidobacteria

In the in body gastrointestinal, there has 1015 cfu bacteria, among the bacteria, abut 100 kind of bacteria compose the microflora in intestinal. These micro flora divided into Probiotics, pathogen, Aerobic bacteria. Probiotics including bifidobacteria, lactobacillus etc. The test proves that bifidobacteria can use IMO, and other Harmful bacteria has lack the necessary enzymes, and hardly to use IMO, so  bifidobacteria can multiply. Also, Because of the special structural formula content α-1,6 bond that prevent enzyme from decomposing, and then it cant be absorbed by man directly, so the IMO reach large intestine and be used by good bifidus.

2) Anti-decay tooth

Decay tooth occur as a result of the Streptococcus mutans can use sugar to produce insoluble Dextran and dirt covering the tooth surface, in the dirt tooth, bacteria acid production from sugar fermentation. Corrode tooth and tooth Caries formation.

Experiments show that the streptococcus mutans can not use Isomaltooligosaccharide to produce insoluble Dextran. Also can not use Isomaltose, isomaltotriose and panose to produce acid. So this can inhibit the formation of tooth Caries incidence.

3) Moisten Intestines and relieving constipation

Consumption of IMO effectively improved bowel movement, stool output and microbial fermentation in the colon without any adverse effect. Therefore, supplementation of 10g IMO per day for Healthy adults may be practical in relieving constipation in human.
