Air Dryer

Desiccant dryers are also known as Regenerative Desiccant Dryers and Twin Tower Dryers.
The compressed air is passed through a pressure vessel filled with an absorbent
media such as activated alumina, silica gel, molecular sieve or other desiccant
material. The desiccant adsorbs the moisture in its millions of pores, trapping
it. The desiccant can bring the dew point of water vapor in the compressed air
down to -40 degrees C or below.

External heater type desiccant air
dryers regenerate the wet tower by heating purge air from the compressed air
line to 120 degree C or higher and channeling the hot air through the wet
tower. The hot air pulls off the adsorbed moisture, thus regenerating the
desiccant. The purge air vents to atmosphere.

Features & Benefits

    • Flow range of 88-8830 scfm (2.50-250 m3/min.)
    • 4 hour cycle (2 hours online and 2 hours offline)
    • Tower pressure relief valves.
    • Purge adjustment valve to control purge flow.
    • Purge exhaust mufflers for quiet operation.
    • Tower pressure gauges
    • Adjustable microprocessor sequence module.
    • Controlled repressurization
    • Fail-safe design : failure of power and/or pilot air causes the purge
      exhaust valves to close
    • Desiccant fill and drain ports for ease of desiccant replacement
    • Tower operating status lights
    • ON/OFF switch and power ON light
    • Standard designs deliver -40 degrees C pressure dew point
    • -70 degrees C pressure dew point option available
    • Dew point monitor, optional
    • Pre-piped filters and by-pass valve packages, optional

Custom
designs and electrical configurations, optional
