  1. I.                    Brief introduction

LST screw type residue removing machine is applicated in sewage treatment plants, paper mills, chemical plants, and aluminum oxide to remove quadratic residue after extracting tank pneumatic suction residue (filter to excess water),. By using this machine, the sediment tank residue (sand) and water are separated from each other.

The machine is used in the procedure after lime slaker, mainly for secondary extraction of lime residue from lime milk flowing out of the lime slaker, to improve the quality of the lime milk and meet the application requirements of the next process.

 

. Structure & Working Principle

LST series screw type residue removing machine is composed of the screw shaft, spiral blade, u-shaped groove, water storage tank (tank), stents, overflow mouth and the driving gear, etc.

Working principle: Liquid mixture flow from the top of spiral residue removing machine into the water storage tank, while the residue granules which are heavier deposits by gravity at the bottom of the storage tank. The slowly rotating spiral shaft drives the blades, pushing forward the residue along the inclined u-shaped slot, after leaving the liquid level to realize the separation of residue and lime milk. The separated lime milk is discharged from the overflow mouth.

. Installation & Maintenance:

1.        The machine is sed to match with the lime slaker. The residue removing machine is installed under the filtering device of the lime slaker, at a distance of 200-300mm from the filtering screen of lime slaker. When installation, according to the supplier’s foundation drawing, anchor bolt should be done with second casting solidification and find the machine top surface level before fastening.

2.        In order to facilitate transportation, the two legs (frame) of the machine are disconnect (bolting), to be welded together when using on-site installation.

3.        The overflow mouth location is for the position of the general situation; it can also be set according to the site on both sides of the water storage tank (or one side), but its centerline distance from the top surface should not be changed.

4.        When the machine leaves the factory, the sealing device of the bearing has been filled with grease, half a year without refueling, a year later users when overhaul adding new grease; The packing gland has also been preloaded, test run if it drops water, it means the packing gland haven't compression packing (asbestos packing), The user can use wrench to tighten packing gland nut on again, until no water dropping.

5.       Special note: The speed reducer has no oil when leaving the factory and the user has to feed lubricating oil 40 # machine oil, 90 # is recommended for the industrial gear oil.

Reducer for the first time to use, after operating 200 hours clean empty of the lubricating oil, and rinse clean of the oil and impurities rinse repeatedly, then add new oil; Under normal use, for the speed reducer with continuous work for more than ten hours a day, 3 months to replace a lubricating oil; The speed reducer for work no more than 10 hours a day, six months to replace oil at a time.

 

IV. The features of the machine:

  1. 1.       The separation efficiency can be as high as90~95%, the residue granules ≥1.0mm can be separated.
  2. 2.       The machine adopts spiral structure, with external bearing, which has advantages of convenient maintenance, low maintenance cost.
  3. 3.        Simple and compact structure, light weight, low energy consumption.
  4. 4.       To ensure the durability of blade, made of 16 mn thickness can be produced according to requirements (8 mm).

Besides, for the removing of hard particle residue, spiral blades can be lined with wear-resisting lining material, to improve the service life.

  1. 5.       After the separation of residue, the water content is less than or equal to 20%.
