Kaolin dryer
Kaolin is a non-metallic mineral, the name is derived from “Gaoling”, a Chinese village near Jingdezhen in southeastern China's Jiangxi Province. It is soft, earthy, usually white if in high purity and may exhibit gray, yellow or light orange colors due to impurities. The main use of the mineral kaolinite is the production of paper; its use ensures the gloss on some grades of coated paper. It is also widely used in production of ceramics, refractories, chemicals, etc..
Whiteness is one of critical value of kaolin quality, which is divided to natural whiteness and acquired whiteness from calcination. For ceramics, calcined whiteness is more important. High purity kaolin exhibits white color.
Due to importance of whiteness, contamination (especially iron) during calcination or drying should be avoided to the utmost extent. To achieve this purpose, we have designed rotary dryers with stainless steel shell and internal structures with natural gas combustion system. This could effectively avoid contamination from iron and combustion air.
