KZ75-1520 Ballast Hopper Wagon (KZ75-1520 BHW) is used to transport and discharge the ballast for existing and new railway track with 1520mm gauge. The wagon could transport the granular cargo too.
The structure of the KZ75-1520 BHW includes carbody, ballast discharge system, coupler and draft gear, braking system and bogie.
1 Carbody:
The carbody is the welded steel structure with High-Strength Weathering Steel Q450NQR1. It consists of underframe, side wall, end wall, hopper, operating cab etc.
2 Ballast discharging system
The ballast discharging mechanical system is mainly controlled by pneumatic power with the auxiliary manual power.
The operation could be controlled by pneumatic power and manual power separately.
There are six discharging doors per wagon, two center discharging doors in middle and four side discharging doors on
both sides.
3.Coupler and draft gear
The KZ75-1520 BHW is equipped with CA-3 coupler and suitable coupler yoke. The coupler contour meets the requirement of gost 21447-75. The coupler meets the requirements of gost 22703-91 standards. The MT-3 type draft gear is equipped. The wagon could be coupled with existing wagons in CIS countries.
4 Braking system
The braking system includes air braking system and hand braking system.
5. Bogie
The bogie is HZ25-1520 Bogie. T he axle load is 25 tons. It mainly includes wheelsets,side frame composition, bolster composition , damping device , sub frame composition and brake rigging system etc. The material of bolster and side frame is 20 steel casting; The Lower Part Clearance Limit is in accordance with the provisions of 02-BM of gost 9238-83
