KZ75-1520 railway ballast hopper wagon is used to transport ballast for track construction or maintenance on 1520mm gauge railway. The ballast hopper wagon could be used to transport grain goods too.
TheKZ75-1520 ballast hopper wagon insists car-body, ballast discharge system,coupler and draft gear, braking system and bogie.
1. The carbody of ballast hopper wagon will be steel structure which is welded by High-Strength Weathering SteelQ450NQR1 .It consists of under-frame, side wall, end wall, hopper, cab etc.
2. Ballast discharging system
The mechanical ballast discharging system will be run by pneumatic power/manual power (separately or together). The bottom discharging door could be opened / closed manually or pneumatically to ensure required ballast discharging uniformally. The wagon could be loaded from top and unloaded from bottom; it could discharge the ballast inside or outside the track.
3. Coupler and draft gear
At each end of the wagon will be provided with a high performance coupling device (high tensile couplers and high capacity draft gears) suitable for hauling in rake formation of heavy train as mentioned uphill at the maximum gradient.
4. Braking system
The brake system of raiway ballast hopper wagon will include air braking system and hand braking system.
5. Bogie
The bogie can be operated with safe high speed capability, greater stability in curve, hunting-free performance, wheel/rail wear reduction, improved ride quality and extended life cycle.The bogie and its components of ballast hopper wagon will be designed to operate with lower maintenance cost between overhaul periods.
