I. Rotary dryer description
Rotary dryer, also known as drum or drum dryer drying equipment, is the most common and widespread application in mining industry. It is widely used to dry magnetic metal and nonmetal materials, floating clay ore and cement, coal slurry and other industrial materials.
II. Rotary dryer work principle
1. Wet materials are carried to the hopper by the Belt Conveyor or bucket elevator, then through the feeding pipe the materials are sent into the side.
2. Set feeding tube inclination angle in order to make the flow of material mouth. Dryer cylinder is located slightly in a slope. Materials are put in from the higher end, heat is sent in from the lower end.
3.With the rotation of the cylinder materials run to the lower end under the force of gravity.
4. During moving forward in the cylinder, the materials are dried directly or indirectly from the heat carrier, then sent out at the discharge side by the belt conveyor or screw conveyor.
5. On the tube wall, there are special boards; the role is to expand the contact surface between materials and airflow, so as to reduce drying time and to promote material progress.
6. Before release materials, make sure the gas go through the filter to reduce the dust content.
