Based on fusion temperature, refractories are classified into three types:
Normal refractory.
High refractory.
Super refractory.
Fusion temperature = 1580 ~ 1780 °C (e.g. Fire clay)
High refractoryFusion temperature = 1780 ~ 2000 °C (e.g. Chromite)
Super refractoryFusion temperature > 2000 °C (e.g. Zirconia)
