1.)The production line to manufacture biomass pellet with flat die pellet mill is one of the solidification technology. Flat die pellet mill is popular for its ruggedness and flexibility.
2.)Working principle of flat die pellet mill
The principal axis has been driven by the motor through the gear box, and then get the die moving. Press roller will be revolved on its axis as the principal axis moving. The biomass material has been on the die through the feeder hopper . the die has been driven by principal axis , then press roller has extruded the material to the nib, the material has been shaped up to the cylindrical pellet in the nib for certain time and would be cut by the slicer, then moved to the discharge hole.
3.)Meaning of type for the pellet mill
ZL means ZHILI from the Pinyin in Chinese, is pellet mill
S means Siliao from Pinyin in Chinese, is feed pellet mill
M means Muxie from Pinyin in Chinese, is wood pellet mill.
P means Pingmo from Pinyin in Chinese , is flat die.
20 means the external diameter of the die.
A means the pellet mill with diesel engine.
B means the pellet mill with motor, C means the motor has been covered.

1. Requirement for material: The moisture of material should be 14%-18%, the quality and quantity will be influenced if the moisture is higher or lower; meanwhile the material nust be well mixed.
2.Grinding-in of the new die
The new die should be grinding in as the following steps: 5kg material and 1kg sand should be well mixed with 1kg used oil. Start the pellet mill and get the material in then adjust the screw on the press roller, check whether the machine works well. (please note: the space between press roller and die should not be too small, or the die and press roller will be damaged. ) Fill in the normal material after the machine has worked for 1 hour. If the pellet could not be moulded after fill in the material, please loose the screw to the best result.
If the pellet could not be molded after adjusting the screw, please empty the material in the nib with steel nail,(the top of the nail has been rub down), then star the machine to grinding-in.
When the operator finish daily work, they should fill in the oil material( normal material with 10% oil) to the nib the prevent jam and it is the preparation for operating next time and will be time-saving.
3.Adjustment of the space between the die and press roller
The space between press roller and die has more influence on the quality of pellet, the space should be 0.05-0.3mm. when the space is more than 0.3mm, the quantity of the production will be lower as the material is too thick. When the space is less than 0.05mm,
the pellet mill will be damaged. The way to estimate of the press roller and die: it is better when we could not hear the noise when we fill in the material.
4.Choise of length and diameter of the die nib
When the nib is longer and diameter is shorter, the production quantity is higher but hardness is lower. Or the production quantity is lower and hardness is higher. So customer could choose the right ones according their requirements, or we could manufacture the suitable ones for your requirement.
5.Adjustment of the length of the pellet: the height of the slicer which near the discharge hole could be adjusted then the length of pellet is adjusted.
6.The way to change the die: Planishing the preiection between the stop washer and nut on the principal axis by screwdriver, get the nut with the hook head wrench (spare parts), get the stop washer and flat washer, then get the die with die opener (spare parts).
The machine should be grinding-in again after changing the die.
7. Disposed of the finished pellet: the temperature of the finished pellet will be higher and should be placed in the cool place before packing.
