Silica rotary dryer can be seen in many industries. Silica rotary dryer is a kind of highly efficient, stable and reliable heating drying equipment; it is designed by Dajia Mining Machinery to dry materials of high moisture or strong stickiness. Because it is only a carrier, its thermal power is provided by the outer hot air to dry the materials.

Application
Silica sand rotary dryer is used widely in building materials, metallurgy, chemical industry, cement plant, to dry sawdust, wood chips, biomass, and construction sand, abandoned tailings, new energy material, ore, coal and other powders. The dry selection shall consider the local fuel, place and environmental protection.
Structure
Slica sand dryer consists of the main drum and some other parts. The outer motor drives the big gear and then the dry works. The inside structure includes lifting type, screw type and separated type. The heating method includes downstream, upstream and middle heating.
the wet material is taken to the hopper by belt conveyor or bucket elevator, and then into feed opening through feed pipe with the help of feeder. The slope of the feed pipe shall be higher than the material’s dip angle to make the material flowing into the dryer drum. The dryer drum is a rotary drum and there is a slight slope between the drum and the horizontal line. The material is fed through the higher end, and the heat carrier goes from the lower end, which forms an upstream contact with the wet material.
During the movement in the drum, the material gets the heating directly or indirectly, and then is dried. Later the dried material is transferred by the belt conveyor or spiral conveyer at the discharging opening. There are lifting boards on the inside wall, which lifts and scatters the material to make the contact surface bigger between the material and the heat carrier. This can promote the drying rate and push the material forward.
Heat carrier is usually hot air or flue gas. After go through the dryer, the substances containing in the heat carrier usually need to be collected by cyclone dust collector. If the air dust content need to be reduced further, bag filter or wet dust remover shall be used.
