Biomass Wood Briquette Formation Theory
Sawdust Briquette machine uses a large screw to grind, compress and extrude the biomass /fiber raw material into briquettes. The natural lignin content in biomass is liberated with wood fiber under high pressure and temperature The fiber raw material contains a large amount of lignin and fibrin. As the lignin doesn’t have dissolving point but only softening point, when temperature reaches 70 to 110°C, the hot water soluble substance in lignin begins to dissolve and at 200 to 300°C, it begins to soften. At this point, when posed pressure, the lignin can stick together with fibers and cement with adjacent particles. The briquette making technique is to use this features of the plants and through compression to mold.
Biomass wood Briquette condition of formation
The raw material moisture bears great on formation process and quality of carbon. In case of high water ratio, redundant steam produced in heating can not discharge from the central aperture. Hence, the surface of the wood briquette may crack, what’s worse, it may blast fire or fail to produce briquette. In case of low water ratio, molding is out of the question because a small sum of water can facilitate softening and plasticity for the lignin and fibrin. The optimal size for making briquette its below 5mm.The raw material best moisture its 8-14% .
