Automatic casting amd stacking Zinc Ingot Casting Equipment

Product Description

1. Intelligent Zinc ingot casting unit and its components

The intelligent zinc ingot casting equipment (simplified as intelligent zinc ingot casting unit or zinc ingot casting equipment) is mainly composed of double-scoop constant-volume casting machine, double-row linear casting machine, ingot discharge roller table, double-row water-cooled conveyor and ingot turnover machine, air-operated ingot pusher, ingot stack robot machine, ingot stack conveyor, automatic lock-type bunder, weighing machine, ink-printing machine and automatic control system.

2. Working principle

After smelting the induction furnace, the zinc solution is transferred by the double-scoop unit to the ingot casting machine and mould into zinc ingot. The double-scoop gating unit is a volume-constant unit with two scoops and each scoop has two hoppers taking constant volume of zinc solution. The double-row linear casting machine has two casting chambers on each model. As the constant-volume pouring unit and the double-row linear casing unit are on-line process, 4 zinc ingots are casted at the same time. The casting machine is equipped with cooling water sinks where the ingot models are constantly dipping into the water during operation. Meanwhile, the fan is delivering cold air to the casting model upper-surface, to cooled down the zinc solution since being poured into models. The quick process of cooling zinc solution down guarantees a good surface quality of the zinc ingot.

The zinc models then move to the head pulley where the model with ingots make a turnover movement by its own weight and collide with the bumper. Due to inertia effect, the zinc ingots are demoulded falling onto the ingot roller table. Those below-standard zinc ingots are rolled back to scrapper whereas standard zinc ingots are rolled forward to a guiding units to make a 90 degree rotation from horizontal to vertical before they are sent into double-row water-cooled conveyor where the zinc ingots experience a temperature drop from 250℃ to 60 ℃ after a cooled water bath. At the outlet of conveyor, an optoelectronic switch measures the ingots and decides to overturn the two ingots or not based on the sequence of ingot stacking. Both the turned and unturned ingot slide down through the chute to the pushing table before pushed into grapping station.

When zinc ingots arrive at the grapping station, the optoelectronic monitor transfer signal to the robot which takes two zinc ingots at one time and sent it to stacking station before they are stacked by sequence. The robot however retreats to its original place waiting for the next signal to repeat the movement.

When a stack of ingots is ready, the conveyor transfer the stack to bundling station where these ingots are bound by four steel strips one by one at the same direction. The ingots moved one step after one bundling movement until the ingots are secured by four strips. After bundling, the zinc ingot stack is shifted into weighing station for weight measurement and then to printing station to get such information as production series, production date, weight, etc. to be printed on the ingot surface. When the conveyor moves forward again, the printed ingot stack completes the whole production process and is transshipped by the forklift to the warehouse.
