The active component of "Stop tobacco" is cytisin alkaloid, that is an active substance of thermopsis extract. Thanks to cytisin alkaloid "Stop tobacco" has n-cholinomimetic action; stimulates ganglia of the vegetative nervous system, reflexively stimulates the respiratory center, promotes release of adrenaline and increase of blood pressure. At the close similarity to nicotine’s action mechanism, cytisin has much lower toxicity and higher therapeutic index.
Cytisine suppresses nicotine interaction with the corresponding receptors, that leads to a gradual reduction and disappearance of nicotine addiction. Plantain active components (pectin, carotenoids and vitamin U) promote normalization of secretory activity and provide with anti-inflammatory effect.
Plantain has calming effect, reduces blood pressure, has expectorant, liquefacient properties. Plantain protects respiratory tract epithelium, has anti-inflammatory action, promotes spit liquefaction, normalizes surfactant properties of airway and restores functions of ciliated epithelium.
