Natural flake crystalline graphite of Taiginsky graphite deposit
Crucible graphite is used for production of refractories, such as crucibles, buckets, ladle plugs, lids, sleeves, sprayers, retorts, etc. Crucible graphite application improves products’ heat conducting properties making a final product more resistant to high temperatures and heating rate increase. Being almost infusible and very inert to many materials, the graphite makes the product itself highly inert, improves their quality, makes the crucible surface smoother so molten metal cannot stick to it. The main characteristics that define graphite’s applicability in refractories production are: flake size, ash content, ash waste chemical composition.
