Coconut oil or Copra oil is an edible oil extracted from the kernel or meat of matured coconuts harvested from the coconut palm (Cocos nucifera). It has various applications in food, medicine, and industry. Because of its high saturated fat content it is slow to oxidize and, thus, resistant to rancidification, lasting to two years without spoiling.
Many health organizations advise against the consumption of high amounts of coconut oil due to its high levels of saturated fat.
Coconut oil can be extracted through "dry" or "wet" processing. Centrifugal separation is used in "wet" processing for extracting the coconut crude oil. Generally the model GF series (3 phase, liquid-liquid-solid separation) of FUYI tubular separators be used in order to achieve the purest virgin coconut oil.
Advantages of "wet" process are as follows:

Tubular separator is consisted of main body, driving device, bowl collecting pan and liquid-in bearing seats.
The coconut crude oil is fed through the bottom, the bowl of the centrifuge rotates around its axis and forms a strong centrifugal forceand the centrifugal force separates the suspension into liquids and solid. Heavy solid is deposited on the inner wall of the bowl, and forms the sludge, then it will be discharged by manual after the machine stops. The clear liquid flows out of outlet from the top of the bowl.
The motor connect with the big pulley and delivery the power to the spindle through the belt, tensioner and small pulley and rotate with the bowl in high-speed as the clockwise. The material is sprayed onto the bowl from the inlet on the bottom and strong centrifuge force is formed when the bowl rotates with the material and that makes the material flow upper along the wall of the bowl and then separated because of the different gravity by the centrifuge force.
