Q: I don’t have a key for IBoard DrawView. Where can I get one?
A: IBoard DrawView does not require any product key to use.
Q: I’m missing software CD/DVD. How can I get one?
A: IBoard interactive whiteboards are all shipped with CD/DVDs.
Q: What dry-erase markers can I use?
A: You can use any solvent (keytone) based dry-erase markers.
Q: How do I use IBoard software with my mobile device?
A:At this time IBoard software is not compatible with mobile devices. However, our basic whiteboarding functionality is compatible with all operating systems, for example,Windows/Andriod/Mac OS/Linux
Q: How do I connect my IBoard Interactive whiteboard or Interactive Flat Panel Display wirelessly?
A: Just plug the USB wireless receiver to a USB port on your computer and you can connect with our interactive whiteboards/interactive flat panels.
Q: The calibrate icon is greyed out. What do I do?
A:This issue is usually caused by the IBoard being disconnected. Please verify that all cables are connected and the USB plugged in. Please make sure your are using Iboard DrawView software. Please also ensure you are only using the supplied parts for your IBoard and that you are not running a RJ45 cable longer than 25’. If the cables and USB are plugged in correctly and the calibrate icon is still greyed out, disconnect the IBoard USB and plug it into another USB port on your computer. If the calibrate icon is still greyed out then you will need to uninstall and re-install IBoard Suite. If after re-installing the software the calibrate icon is still greyed out please contact IBoard Tech Support.
Q: What is a RJ45 cable?
A:The RJ45 cable is a cable used to transmit data from the IBoard controller to the USB adapter. The RJ45 cable is also called an Ethernet cord, internet cord, or network cable.
Q: What is a USB adapter?
A:The USB adapter is a black adapter, 7” (17.78cm) long. It is used to connect the IBoard to your USB port.
Q: Do I need to use a shielded RJ45 cable?
A:Yes, it is strongly recommended that you use a shielded RJ45 cable as the shielding prevents interference from affecting your IBoard experience.
Q: How do I extend a RJ45 cable beyond the factory supplied?
A:To extend a RJ45 cable supplied with your interactive whiteboard, you need to purchase a USB extender (not offered by IBoard) and an additional RJ45 cable (offered by IBoard). We recommend NTI USB extender and CAT5 or CAT6 Shielded RJ45 cable of your desired cable length (up to 125’).
Q: There is no image on my board. What do I do?
A:There may be a couple of reasons for no image displayed on your board:
A) You do not have a projector. To display an image on the IBoard, you must have a projector (sold separately).
B) Your projector is turned off. A projector must be turned on and facing the board for an image to be displayed on the IBoard. If your projector won’t turn on or you are not sure how to do this please contact your projector manufacturer.
