Vacuum process molding is an emerging molding process which invented and developed successfully from Japan in the 1970s. It adopts unit sand as molding sand, using plastic film coated forming in the mould with air vent and air extractor after heating, sealed box, vacuating the molding, causing pressure difference between molding inner and outer makes dry sand compact to form needed mold cavity.
The basic equipment of vacuum process is: sand box mould with vacuum, vacuum pumping system, plastic film heating, molding and cutting off, vibrating table, sand processing equipment and so on.
