LCB-001 series launch box is used to add in front of tested fiber link and the normal length is more than100 meters.
When the tested fiber link is short, OTDR is hard to test or test results are not stable. At this moment, if using the launch cable, it will extend the link length,emilinate the deadzone, decrease the fluctuation and ensure test accuracy.
When using launch box, the beginning point would be the end point of launch cable. So OTDR would test insertion loss at 0 meter.
