Straw silage chopping machine hay cutter can chop both dry and green fodder into uniform sizes. It is an ideal machine for making silage for dairy animals. The chopped fodder also becomes more digestible and makes it easier for animals to swallow. The electric motor or diesel engine for the power is available. The machine could be attached to a tractor with a PTO shaft. Wheels can be fit onto the legs to make the machine portable. Two to four cutting blades are fit on the fly wheel inside the machine.

We further developed rubbing type straw chopper and straw rubbing machine (straw kneading machine) which can first chop and then rub fodder into slivers in uniform size which is better for ingestion and digestion. These smaller final particles are better to feed sheep. It combines the chopping and rubbing, and makes the knob breaking and seed crushing rate reach over 80%. It mainly consist of hopper, chopping structure, throwing structure, driving structure, running gear, protective device and rack etc.
