A.Brief of Concrete Lighting Pole
I.Concrete Lighting Pole Look:
Concrete lighting pole can be made in many shapes.Poles up to 40 feet long with square or rectangular solid cross-sections are easy to manufacture,occupy less room during transporation,and faciliate positioning of steel at corners for maximum resisting moment at a given depth.Circular hollow cross-sections are better for longer poles.Because hollow,weigh less.And because they are spun at high speeds in casting operation,then concrete is denser and stronger.
II.Design Consideration:
A pole generally acts as a cantilevered structure ,and should be designed and analyzed as a tapered member with combined axial and bending loads.Because shear forces are small compared to bending moments,concrete lighting poles are very resillient.Axial loads are small,too,and are generally ignored except when the structure is guyed.
III.Manufacturing:
Concrete lighting poles generally are manufactured in Centrifugal casting process.Centrifugal casting or spin casting is the best and cost-saving method for concrete power pole production.In centrifugal casting,a steel form(mold) is placed on machine,partially filled with amount of precalculated concrete ,then spun for several minutes(time for spinning depends on motor speed).The tremendous centrifugal forces created by the spinning consolidated the concrete by forcing it against on the wall of the form.Excess water that is squeezed out of concrete is poured from the hollow cavity created in the center of the pole.After spinning,the form is steam cured until the strength of concrete is 3500psi.The prestressing wire is then released,and the pole is air-cured for 28 days.The result :a hollow pole made of dense concrete.
B.Process of Production
Products Introduction:
1.Spinning machine
The technology that our spinning machine adopted is derived from Germany in 1980s.Through around 30 years experieces accumulation and improvement,our technology on spinning machine has exceeded the original,with advantages of wide range of spinning speed,lower noise,easy maitenance and operation.In addition,we provide to customers with multiple configuration of motors for the purpose of meeting customers different demands on operation,cost,maintenance and automation.
2.Steel mould
The prevailing specifications of mould will be as below:

The raw materials of our mould meet international standard,so our finished mould has advantages of high strength,precision and non-deformation.
Each of our steel mould is mechanically processed by different machine tools for the purpose of decreasing deformation frequency,higher strength for different loading capacity of pole,and more precise of each part of mould.The mould processed by this technique will have advantages of long life-about 30 years,easy to operate-easier for workers to assemble two halves of moulds,non-deformation of mould,and the finished pole from this kind of mould will have a neat apearance
3.Steam Curing:
The pole after centrifugation needs to be steam cured to strengthen to a given value.The whole process will be in a given temperature,moisture and depth environment.The process of steam curing takes four hours.

1.Why is spinning techinique for concrete lighting pole production?
Concrete lighting pole manufactured by spinning technique has advanges of:denser,stronger than wooden pole and other techinique,higher efficiency and lower cost than steel pole and other techinque.
2.Can the spinning machine make other concrete products?
Yes.There are several concrete products can be manufactured by spinning machine:concrete pile,concrete pipes,and square pole.
3.Is the spinning process cost too much?
No.Generally,the biggest expense lies in mold,then machine.Because along with your production getting bigger,one machine will need more molds to support its production.Absolutely,if you plan to expand production,machines are the other factor needed to be considered.
4.How to know how many molds and machines you will nee?
It's dependent on the order and delivery time of the order you have.Generally,one plant with one set of machine and 16 pieces of mold produce 32 pieces of pole in 8 hours per day.
5.When the pole will be finished completely?
After spinning process,the pole with mold has to be steam cured in curing pool for 4 hours.And after steam curing,the pole has to be exposed in the air for 28 days to till the given strength.After this time,the pole is totally finished.Absolutely,the air curing can be completed in delivery.
6.How we work out what equipments do we need to order?
In concrete lighting pole production,the spinning machine and mold are necessary.Excluding these two items,the other equipments have to include:concrete mixer,concrete batching plant,tension machine,heading machine and crane.
(1).Concrete mixer is for mixing aggregate,additives and water into given concrete.
(2).Concrete batching plant is for calculate the amount of raw materials like sand,gravel,cement and additives.
(3).Tension machine is for making tendon in poles be prestressed.
(4).Heading machine is to make a head of tendon for the next step:tension.
(5).Crane is to move mold and pole to the given places.
7.What if the machine was broken?
In fact,everything has a life,machines are not expected.The condition of out-of-order of machine generally comes from quick wear part broken.We will list a catalog of quick wear part of each machine with their lives that you ordered to notice you when should you replace new parts.The lives of itmes except quick wear parts will be guruanteed by us in certain time.If in certain period they are broken,we will help you to fix or replace new one for free.
