1. General description
In the pigment product line, our DW Belt Dryer is widely used for drying pigment. The drying system can be made up of two parts: Extruding forming machine, belt dryer. Many clients want to dry pigment by belt dryer, and then crush the dried pigment to powder, but pigment is always sticky paste shape, and it is very difficult to granulate. So it is the main problem for drying by belt dryer.
Our company developed a extruding forming machine, it solves the granulating problem effectively. It can form the pigment to strips. The strips pigment is very easy to be dried by belt dryer, and then crushed to powder after dried.
2. Main steps of this drying process:
1. Material is put into the extruding forming machine, and then is extruded to strip.
2. Strips drop on the moving belt from the extruding and forming machine.
3. Material was transferred into drying machine on the belt and dried.
4. Crush the Fe3O4 strips to powder.
For example, initial moisture is 35%, final moisture is 0.2%, and output capacity is 2500T/year, we will use DW2.2×24 belt dryer for the project. Following is the diagram of the drying system:
3. General description of DW Belt Dryer
DW series Belt Dryer is one of the main products of our company. After several times upgrade and update, it is developed to advanced level in China and foreign countries. There are two kinds belt dryer, one is mesh type, and one is punching plate type.
Its fundamental is this: Materials that to be dried are distributed on the conveyer belt by charging device (Such as Star-shape material distributor, swinging belt, grinder or granulator). Conveyer belt will go through the channel that consists of one or several heating units. Each heating unit is equipped with air heating system and circulation system. And Each channel has one or several dehumidifying system. When the conveyer belt goes through it, hot air will pass though the material that on the belt from up to down or from down to up so that the material can be dried uniformly. Heating source can be steam, heat transfer oil, flue-gas or electricity. Fan is used for heat convection and transferring heat to material, and fresh air is supplied and damp air is exhausted. In the drying time cabinet, proper relative temperature and humidity can be kept. Its maximum characteristic is most hot air will circulate in the cabinet, so the heat transferring and mass transferring are strengthened and energy is saved.
1,Construction features
a. Most hot air is circulated in the cabinet, heat efficiency is high and save energy.
b. Use forced ventilation and cross flow type drying principle, there are air distribution plates in the cabinet and material is dried uniformly.
c. Low noise, stable operating, self-control temperature and convenience to install and maintain.
d. Wide scope of application, it is suitable for all kinds material, and is the general type drying equipment

4. Application scope
Belt dryer is a common continuous-working drying equipment. It can be widely used in chemical, pharmaceutical, foodstuff, building materials, and electron industries. It is specially suitable for drying the flaking shape, strip shape, and granule materials with good ventilating. To filter cake and cream materials, they can be shaped by granulator or extruder, and then be dried by belt dryer.
Foodstuff industry: Desiccated coconut, seaweed, sliced fruit, vegetable, mushroom essence, chicken essence, gourmet powder and so on.
Pharmaceutical industry: Chinese herbal pieces, organic chemical and so on.
Chemical industry: Iron oxide (shaped to flaking shape), fiber, soap base, titanium oxide and so on.
