Vertical cutting dryer is used to do further separation for cuttings to recover valuable drilling fluids, drying solids discharge, cleaning return fluid, reducing mud loss. Cuttings discharged by shale shaker, desander, desilters (or mud cleaner) can be fed into the dryer’s hopper and spaced widely to the inner screens, achieving the drying and separating efficiency.

1.VERTICAL CUTTING DRYER Brightway rugged, continuous Vertical Cutting Dryer is fed via screw conveyor, vacuum system, or rotary-lobe solids pump from the flow-line shale shakers.
2.Drill cuttings are fed into the jet mud hopper(hopper), and distributed along the inner wall of the screen with the aid of the rotor.
3.The liquid phase, or “filtrate”, passes through the screen openings while the vertical scraper with sintered tungsten carbide tiles scrape the accumulating cake solids towards the bottom of the Vertical Cuttings Dryer for disposal. The filtrate gravity flows into a containment tank and pumped to a high speed decanter centrifuge. Upon discharge, the dried cuttings are then safely discharged to the environment, are collected for further treatment or off-site disposal.
4.Brightway`s rugged, continuous Vertical Cutting Dryer significantly improves liquid phase recovery, thereby paying for itself. Vertical cutting dryer could be regarded as a vertical centrifuge, the discharged cuttings transfered by the auger get into the Vertical cutting dryer from the opening on the top, under the function of centrifugal force produced by rotation of the screen module
5.Liquid flow out from the opening at the flank side while the solids discharged out from the outlet at the bottom of the cutting dryer. The discharged solids water content is around 30%, that means there is no flowing water, so it could be transported easily.
