The hardness of wear resistant layer is up to HRC 63 degrees, which is equivalent to the tungsten-cobalt. The wearability of it is 20 times better than carbon steel pipe and it is much superior to corundum grinding wheel. Presently, dozens of thermal power plants demonstrated that dual metal wear resistant steel pipe has high wearability and strong resistance to fluid impact. In Elbow wears fastest in primary duct, the wear resistance elbow is 5 times better than casted thick wall wear resistant elbow. In practice, composite layer of wear resistant steel pipe has no significant wear or shed after 2 years. In the same specifications and unit length of a pipeline, the weight of dual metal wear resistant steel pipe is only 1/2 as heavy as casted wear resistant steel and 2/5 of casted stone pipe or lanthanon wear resistant steel pipe. In general, it makes per meter project cost lower, cost reduced ranging from 30% to 40%. It can be applied under the circumstance of erosion and high temperature and the price of it is only a fraction of stainless steel pipe and nickel titanium pipe.
