OVERVIEW
R-5461 Serial of Mica Tape for Fire-resistant Cables consist of phlogopite mica paper (or synthetic mica paper) impregnated with special silicone resin and glass fiber cloth (or Polyethylene film) as supporting agent. These tapes have great flexibility and high tensile strength, and their combined characteristics mean they can be used to create inorganic, fire-resistant insulation for electrical cables.
TYPE
According to mica paper and support agent, R-5461 mica tape has following different types.
1. R-5461-P-GS: Single side reinforce phlogopite mica tape with glass fiber cloth;
2. R-5461-S-GS: Single side synthetic mica tape with glass fiber cloth;
3. R-5461-P-FS: Phogopite mica tape with PE film on single side;
4. R-5461-CM-GS: Single side reinforce calcined muscovite with fiber cloth;
5. R-5461-P-R: Phlogopite mica roll
Note: Meaning of mica tape code
R-5461:Glory mica tape serial No. P:Phologpite S:Synthetic mica
GS:Fiber cloth single side PS:PE film single side CM:Calcined muscovite mica
CHARACTERISTIC
1. Resist extreme thermal stresses and give oustanding fire protection. R-5461-P is made from phlogopite mica paper, retain insulation properties at 800°C; R-5461-S is made from synthetic mica paper, retain insulation properties at 1000°C;
2. Incombustible, asbestos free and do not create toxic gasses;
3. Excellent tensile strength and shock resistance
