Product Description

 

As camera technology continues to improve, Canon always seems to be at the top of the list of high-quality products. The Canon EOS 6D is one of the newest and most powerful cameras on the Canon docket. It comes with a 20.2 megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor that emphasizes image quality and produces striking photographs for every shot. Along with the DIGIC 5+ image processor and 14-bit A/D conversion, the Canon 6D produces vivid shots and a greater attention to detail than the EOS 5D. The overall speed of the camera is increased as the processor is able to convert images into JPEG or RAW formats at an accelerated rate.

This camera also has a sensitivity that ranges all the way up to ISO 102400. The maximum image resolution extends up to 5472 x 3648 pixels for increased light-reception and a decreased ratio of signal to noise. 
 
Focus and Metering Sensor
 
The Canon EOS 6D comes with an 11-point autofocus system that provides precision and fast focusing in a variety of different situations and environments. The center cross-type focus point also provides for improved focus sensitivity even in cases of low or limited light. There are several modes that allow for focus tracking along with acceleration and deceleration sensitivities. In addition, manual focusing options are bolstered by a vivid pentaprism viewfinder and still provide for greater sensitivity and larger focus areas overall.
 
The iFCL 63-zone dual layer metering sensor works together with the autofocus feature to analyze and calculate focus, luminance, and color for virtually any scene. The metering sensor uses its 63 zones to cover the entire range of the image for greater sensitivities to every color in the spectrum. It also allows for incredibly precise exposure options to accommodate a wide variety of environments. 
 
100% HD Video
 
The camera also boasts full HD video compatibility with formats ranging up to 1080p. The memory within the camera is partitioned so that recording times can be extended further than most other cameras of this ilk. In fact, the EOS 6D allows for nearly 30 minutes of continuous HD recording time. For improved quality, both the aperture and shutter variable can be manually adjusted for high-quality exposure. Manual sound adjustments can also be made using the 64-level volume control option.
 
The DIGIC 5+ image processor provides higher video quality with reduced aberration and improved video response times. It’s even possible to record with sensitivities ranging up to ISO 25600.
 
Wi-Fi and GPS
 
In Canon 6D, Wi-Fi and GPS capability are built right in to the functionality. This provides (among other things) much simpler connectivity with a wide range of different devices. With Canon’s Android or iOS apps, it’s possible to change exposure settings on your camera from a distance. It’s even possible to share images from the 6D with devices like tablets, HDTVs, and other Canon cameras that are enabled with Wi-Fi. It’s also relatively simple to upload images to the Canon iMAGE Gateway where those images can then be shared across social media. 
 
The GPS functions of this camera track the latitudinal and longitudinal location of each image and then attach that data via an EXIF file. Then, you can look back through your images and see exactly where you took each picture.
 
Other Features
 
The Canon EOS 6D also maintains a number of other unique features that help it stand out among other camera options. The design is sturdy and efficient, constructed with a polycarbonate and aluminum alloy chassis. The magnesium and polycarbonate exterior of the camera provides greater durability. It is also dust-resistant and sealed off from any external contaminants.
 
The 3.0" Clear View LCD monitor allows for vivid image previews and live views of the scene. It features a 1,040,000-dot resolution along with a special coating that reduces sun glare.
 
Additionally, the 6D comes with built-in HDR and multiple exposure modes. The HDR (high dynamic range) mode is great for photographing locations and environments with a lot of contrast. This mode essentially creates a string of bracketed exposures of the exact same image which are then combined into the same frame. With the multiple exposure modes, you can have as many as 9 different exposures recorded onto one file. In any event, there are a number of reasons to buy Canon EOS 6D.
