Description of Belt Conveyor :
Belt conveyor has highlighted features such as large conveying capacity, simple structure, convenient repair, standardized components.It is widely used in mining, metallurgy, coal and other departments, is used for conveying loose material or formed articles. According to different transport technology demands, it not only can adopt a single conveyor, but also can combine with several conveyors or other transportation equipment to make up horizonal or inclined conveyor system to meet the needs of production line with different arrangements. The belt conveyor can used in ambient temperature -20- +40 °C, transportation of materials should have temperature below 50°C.
Working principle of belt conveyor:
Belt conveyor mainly consists of the following parts: conveyor belt ( commonly referred to as the tape ), roller and middle frame, roller tension device, braking device, cleaning device and discharging device.
Conveyor belt around the drive roller 2 and the rear reversing drum form an endless ring belt.Two part of the belt conveyor are supported by the roller. Tensioning device provides conveyor belt with tensioning force the normal operation calls for. When working, the driving drum because of the friction force between itself and the conveyor belt drives the operation of the conveyor belt. Material are loaded onto the conveyor belt from loading points , forming the logistics of continuous motion, unloaded in unloading points. Generally material is loaded onto the belt ( bearing section ),unloaded in the head drum ( here it refers to driving drum ) , it can also be unloaded in the middle by special unloading device.
