Foam hydrant
Foam hydrant is one of important devices in foam fire extinguishing system, it is especially suitable for places where there are fire dangerous flammable liquids and combustible liquids produced, stored and used in large area. Foam hydrant is composed of flange, barrel, ball valve, inner concatenation, fire fighting tube tooth and end cover.Ground foam fire hydrant can be divided into PSS80-65X2,PSS100-65X2,PSS150-65X2 three kinds of models according to flange interface. The rated working pressure of foam hydrant is within range of 1.6Mpa.
Working principle:
Foam hydrant is distributed and installed in preset position of protection area, flanges are connected with liquid supply pipelines, ball valves are often closed, end cover is covered. When fire is happened, firstly unscrew end cover, connect end cover with fire fighting hose, then open ball valve to transport foam liquid to foam generating device, foam hydrant must be used in the specified pressure range.
Applications:
Foam hydrant is suitable for petro chemical enterprise, oil refinery, oil storage tank area, aircraft hangar and other important places.
Maintenance:
1.Regularly check whether fire hydrant is intact, rusty and water leskage.
2.Check whether interface gasket is intact.
3.Lubricant oil should be added on the fire hydrant valve stem.
4.Regularly make the drainage inspection, in order to ensure that fire hydrant can be opened to drain in time when fire is happened.
