Industrial Sewage water Treatment Plants - Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF)

Dissolved air flotation (DAF) offers many uses in reducing organic and inorganic loadings on downstream wastewater treatment equipment. DAF is a very versatile product to include in a process, especially to remove suspended particles and insoluble BOD with a specific gravity of 1.2 or less (particle size of less than 5 microns in size). It can also be used when particle density is too close to that of the carrier liquid and as a result exhibits neutral gravity. In this case, DAF induces sufficient gravity differential to augment separation.

By the compressor,the air will be sent into air tank.Then it will be taken in air dissolved tank by jet flow device.In the dissolved tank,the air will be liquefied under 0.35Mpa pressure.Then the liquefied are will be sent to air flotation tank.When released suddenly, the air will be dissolved out and turn into a microbubble group.The group will meet the flocculating suspension in the sewage which is sent by pump and already medicated.It will be absorded in the flocculated suspension while slowly rising up.Along with reduction of the suspension's density,the suspension will go up to the water surface.Finally,the SS and CODcr will be removed.
