Thermochromic Pigment Powders are formulated for use in non-aqueous ink and coating systems that change from colour to colourless as temperature rises, with the colour reappearing when the temperature is reduced again.

Product introduction
 
Thermochromic microcapsule powder consist of compound formulation, containing moisture ≤3%, when the temperature is raised to a specified temperature, it goes from colored to colorless, the product returns to the original color as the temperature cools down.
With good solvent resistance and dispersal, it is suitable for ink, paint and plastic injection/extrusion.

Bright color, temperature-resistance and solvent resistance, non-toxic and harmless, since it is a instable system, so it’s lightfastness, thermostability and aging-resistance is not so strong.

Particle size
The powder’s granule appears to be round ball, average diameter is 3~10 um, it’s inside is changeable material, particle size is 1~10 um, outer is a insoluble transparent shell, the diameter is 0.2~0.5 um,
Storage
Keep sealed in a dark, dry and cool place, away from direct sunlight.
Half year for dark blue, grass green, turkish blue, brown, two years for others.
Application area
Ink (silk-printing, offset printing, gravure, flexo), paint, changing ornaments, craftwork, cup, glass, also used in various types of plastic PP, PVC, ABS, silicone rubber and other transparent or semi-transparent plastic injection molding, extrusion molding.
Thermal stability
The processing temperature should be controlled under 200 centigrade, it resist to high temperature of 230 centigrade in a short period time ( about 10 minutes ) ,the maximum temperature is under 230 centigrade, and minimize the materials’ heating time as much as possible. (High temperature and long time heating will damage the pigment color performance). Color pigments should avoid processing over temperature 75 centigrade.
Light fastness
Thermochromic pigments’ lightfastness is not strong, it will fading easily while exposure under strong light. Therefore it just suitable for indoor use.
Should avoid strong irradiation from sunlight and ultraviolet light, it will do good to prolong the workin
