UHMWPE Mooring Buoy for the Subsea
A mooring buoy is used to moor or fix vessels, with accessories to suit. A bridle chian, short chain, half chain. long chain as well as connection shackles, end shackles, swivel shackles can all be used to help secure a vessel and/or equipment.
The floating body of UHMWPE Mooring Buoy is made by UHMWPE (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene). ULTRA-HIGH MOLECULAR WEIGHT ≥25,000,000, with Closed Cell Polyurethane Foam filled, steel structure inside.
Advantages of UHMWPE Mooring Buoy:
1.Maintenance Free:
no need to paint, no need to maintain and repair, no need to shovel the water growth, saving manpower and resources.
2.Higher Impact Resistance:
a. The material has higher flexibility and hardness, when impacted, it will not deform.
b. There is steel skeleton inside the floating body, with the pouring density of Polyurethane foam ≥46kg/m³ and it plays a powerful support to the floating body.
3. Long Life
a. With high chemical stability and high anti corrosion, the buoy will not
decompose for decades in the seawater, meanwhile, it will not pollute the water.
b. The floating body and tail pipe are very resistant to outdoor ultraviolet radiation. It will not be aging for decades and the mechanical properties will not change.
