SOPEP 12 Barrel On Board Oil Spill Kit
This oil spill kit has been designed with maritime vessels in mind and will absorb twelve barrels.
Under the 1990 Oil Pollution Act (USA), oil tankers greater than 122 metres (400 feet) must have a spill kit on board to
handle a 12 Barrel (1900 litres) oil spill.
This spill kit serves as a primary component of a ship's oil contingency plan. Identifyable sources of leakage or spillage can be
permanently protected, large spills or leaks prevented from running overboard and small to medium spillages contained and
absorbed entirely from the vessel's own resources preventing environmental damage as well as ensuring safer working conditions
for crew members. Suitable for long term on board storage.
