1. Coatings
(1) According to character divide into: Solvent Coating, Water Coating, Powder Coating
(2) According to the coating base divide into: Metalline paint, Plastic paint, Wood Paint, Building coating.
Special coatings: UV coating, fluorin carbon coating.
(3) Pearlescent Effects: Small particle size emerge in gentle and smooth luster just as silk or pearl; Large particle size emerge in glitter effect.
Processing suggestion:
1. Owing to pearlescent pigments have good dispersion in various systems and the special structure of flake do not endure high shear method, so YZ pearlescent pigment should be mix into the process of coating with low shear method on the last step.
2. The color and luster of pearl were outcome by interference light, therefore, we should ensure the transparent coating layers. Avoid combining with strong hiding power, otherwise the luster effect will be broken or disappeared.
3. The directional arrangement of pearl should be taken into consider in application, in order to achieve the best luster effect. If you want to get glitter luster effect, the pearl should disorderly arrangement. The directional arrangement effects are connected with coating systems as well as application method. But also we should consider the solvent system will affect directional arrangement in the process of coating. The volatilized speed of solvent will directly affect directional arrangement. The factors affect the directional arrangements are the pressure of spraying coat, the distance between spraying and materials. Hereby we had better use spray coating in the application.
2. Plastics.:
(1) YZ® pearlescent pigments are suitable for PE,PP,PS,PVC,PET,ABS ect. The pearl effect will be better with high transparent.
(2) Suitable for application method are extrusion, injection, blow moulding and casting ect.
The beautiful color tones emerge effects are close connected with dispersion. Generally, there are two pigmentations: direct & master batch. And master batch is better dispersion for pigment. If you adopt direct pigmentation as well as remain the dispersion effect, you should select pre-dispersion pearl such as YZ8*** series and YZ6***series.
Owing to the special structure of pearl flake, avoiding use low cut combination facility with high processing temperature.
In pure-white plastic processing, sometimes reaction between dissociate-hydroxybenzene in plastic auxiliary and TiO2 will bring yellow-changing phenomenon. YZ-YZ6*** pretreated products which special to avoid yellowish. Special products will comply with your requirements including special color and processing effect.
3. Printing inks:
YZ® pearlescent pigments are available for various printing ink systems such as water and solvent as well as UV ink system.
Paper printing: wall paper, packing paper, tagboard, business card ect.
Plastic ink: Candy packing paper, plastic film, plastic container ect.
Textile processing: umbrella, garment.
4. Cosmetics
YZ® pearlescent pigments and metalline luster effect pigments, with following virtue as avirulence, excellent decorative effects and wonderful luster, which make it be used in cosmetics field widely, such as manufacture of nail-polish, eye shadow and lipstick etc.
