The pulsation dampener (or pulsation damper) is designed for the reduction of pulsation use with positive pumps, such as meter pumps, ram pumps, diaphragm pumps. The pulsation damper is widely used for petrifaction, water treatment, food, pharmacy, paper making, printing and dyeing, chemical process etc..
The Pulsation damper is available in a wide range of materials that is highly resistant to corrosion and used in the most demanding application. It is a pressure vessel containing a bladder or diaphragm which separates pressurized gas in an upper chamber from the process liquid in a lower chamber. When charged with gas to the correct pressure, it will change the cubage of gas to reduce or eliminate pulsations from positive pumps.
