For carbon seamless steel pipe :
Introduction:The hot rolled steel pipe (hot rolled seamless tube) is manufactured through automatic continuous pipe rolling mills. Precisely temperature (recrystallization temperature) controlling is required during different rolling processes, like initial rolling stage, finish rolling stage and curling stage, to achieve microstructure and mechanical structure of steel plates, Thus, they can be deformed to a large extend.
By the process of hot rolling, the original casting structure of the steel slab for making hot rolled steel pipe (hot rolled seamless tube) is destroyed. So that the crystalline grains of steel material can be refined, and the defects of the microstructure of steel slab are eliminated. Hence, hot rolled steel pipe (hot rolled seamless tube) features good mechanical property and superior intensity. It is widely used for transfer fluid, such as petroleum, natural gas, coal gas, water and some solid materials, also ship-building, chemical fertilizer equipment etc.
Take steel plate rolling as an example. The thickness of continuous casting slab, the material for making steel plates, is approx 230mm. However, through rough rolling and finish rolling, the thickness can be reduced to 1-20mm. Due to the small flakiness ratio of steel plates, there is a low requirement on the plate dimensional accuracy. But the crown control is still necessary during steel plate rolling process.
Production flow:The hot rolling process of the pipe is as follows: Steel billet → heating → punching (piercing) → three-roller skew rolling (helical rolling, tandem rolling or extrusion) → tube knockout → tube diameter reducing → cooling → semi-finished pipe → straitening → water pressure test → labeling → warehouse entry. 1. What have to stated is that the in the rolling process, the finished casting slab can be 1~20mm, while before that the thickness of continuous casting slab is around 230mm. So the crown control is important. 2. When use solid tube blank as raw material, remove the defects on the tube blank surface is necessary. 3. All step of the whole process is under strict control to ensure high quality products.
Classification: We can classify the hot rolled steel pipe (hot rolled seamless tube) as: 1. Common Hot Rolled Steel Pipe 2. Medium and low pressure boiler pipe 3. High pressure boiler steel tube And also can call them alloy tube, stainless steel pipe; oil cracking pipe and geology steel tube.
