The line card is the dispersion compensation (DCM) card. It can compensate for the optical signal dispersion accumulated during transmission. In addition, it compresses the optical signal and works with BA and PA for long distance optical transmission.

(2) The polarization mode dispersion is the average differential group delay at the application band measured by Jones Matrix method.
