Product Overview:
OEO6500 Platform is an industry-leading optical transport platform, which supports flexible configurations and provides a Transparent Optical Transport Solution based on DWDM technology (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) and CWDM (Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology serving with flexibility and cost-efficiency in transporting, multiplexing, switching and protecting high-speed data, storage and video applications. OEO6500 Platform service flexibility in access, backhaul, metro and long-haul networks.
To minimize transport cost and optimize efficiency in all network areas, OEO6500 Platform built with extremely flexible and modular architecture, the capacity of OEO6500 Platform can be expanded without service interruption up to 80 channels at 2.5G and 10G.
OEO6500 platform provides several mechanisms and protection levels in the optical layer, as well as various models of EDFA (Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier) and Raman Optical Amplifiers which are able to extend terrestrial links distances up to 30km, 50km, 80km, 100km, 120km and over without intermediate regeneration.
Modules:
OTU Card: Optical Wavelength Conversion card, converting signal of arbitrary rate (125 Mbit/s–10 Gbit/s) at the client side into standard wavelength optical signal in compliance with G.692.
OEO6500-10G Card: With 4 XFP Interfaces, support up to 2 channels wavelength conversion with rate 10G.
Overview
OEO6500-10G is an optical fiber link wavelength converter (fiber amplifier). It regenerates optical signals in the principle of optical-electrical-optical to realize the amplification and wavelength conversion of optical signals. Wavelength division multiplexing can be realized by using C/DWDM multiplexer/de-multiplexer, which especially applies to optical transport systems up to 10G SDH/SONET, Ethernet etc. It provides rapid and cost-efficient solutions to regeneration of optical signals as well as the transmission of rare fiber resources.
Features
- Support a maximum port rate of 10Gb/s;
- The wavelength of C-Band, which supports DWDM wavelengths in compliance with ITU-T standards;
- Can be operated and controlled independently;
- Support automatic loopback test;
- Support 3R function. For neighboring ports, the way for data transmission can be set;
- Support CDR function, which can optimize output.
