Essential Allocations of Milling and Turning Composite Lathe Based on Turning Machine
1. The Spindle Part
a. Servo Power: Adopt AC servo spindle motor and digital driver which could enable spindle achieve arbitrary positioning on circumference and C-axis’s control function.
b. Accurate Gear Ratio: With main motor connecting spindle with synchronous belts and synchronous belt pulley, it could meet demands of accurate gear ratio and achieve accurate arbitrary spindle rotation and positioning.
c. Band Brake Device: Add braking disk on the end of spindle. After positioning, it brakes with one or two oil cylinder or air cylinder to achieve the processing requirements such as drilling, milling and tapping on the workpieces’ circumference and their end surfaces.
2. The Feed Part
a. Long travel and large space of X-axis: with long travel and long sliding plate, even attached with T-shape trough. It could achieve the mixed packing with power head, power deta, cutters arraying electric tool holder and hydraulic deta.
b. Accurate orientation with ball screw middle placed: ball screw middle placed, adopt double linear guideway or double triangular guideway guiding support.
3. The Power Head Part
a. Power head/Electric spindle: low speed and heavy cutting force occasion, adopt mechanical power head, converter motor or AC servo motor to drive. When with high speed, adopt electric spindle, middle-frequency converter or AC servo motor to drive, which could achieve processing such as drilling, milling, grinding, tapping and chamfering.
b. Power deta: install radial or axial power head on power deta arbitrarily and realize composite processing easily. It is simple and clear with space saving.
c. Y-axis power head: when more power heads are needed, Y-axis power are adopted in order to avoid interference. Commonly, there are three each power heads from axial power heads and radial power heads for Y-axis to convert. Combined with hydraulic deta’s quota and usage, it could finish more complicated composite processing.
