Chassis Design for Easy Maintenance and High Scalability
ZyXEL OLT-2300 is a chassis-based Optical Line Terminal system with highly scalable GE-PON ports and uplink ports. The OLT-2300 can terminate up to 512 subscribers with up to 1:32 split and utilize optics for fiber loop distances up to 20 km.
The OLT-2300 Series consists of one OLT-2300M (chassis cabinet), one OFC-2300 (FAN module), one OPA-2300 (DC power module), one OMC-2301 (management card) and up to sixteen OLC-2301HA-12 (line cards).
 
Redundancy Design and Hot Swappable for Non-Stop Services 
The OLT-2300 is managed through a centralized mechanism with optional redundancy. Robust power redundancy ensures stable services to subscribers, while the hot-swappable function allows FTTx network maintenance and extension to be performed without service interruption. With the advanced design, subscribers can be served from sub racks of the chassis easily and economically.
 
Authentication and Encryption for Security
802.1x port authentication can recognize the ONU which doesn't register and reject the service requirement. It can secure the access services in your network. AES-128bit encryption for both downstream and upstream can secure your data transmission.
 
Flexible Management Ways for Centralized Management
The OLT-2300 supports an out band management port which enables the configuration of management. The management activities can be done via web GUI, CLI, SNMP. In addition, firmware upgrade can be done via FTP.
 
Alarm/Status Surveillance and Dying Gasp Support
One "Alarm" port can connect to Alarm/Status surveillance for reporting of relevant events/conditions, which occur in the GEPON network.  Dying gasp messages are transmitted form ONU to OLT when an unrecoverable remote failure occurs.
