Quartz water tube(RE418F) is mechanically drawn electrically fused clear quartz glass tube. It uses natural quartz as raw material with average SiO2 99.95%. Due to its slightly lower purity, RE418F has lower transmission in deep UV-C range such as ozone forming line 185nm, so RE418F can not be used as ozone producing application. But RE418F still has a good transmission in UV-C range of 200-280nm wavelengths such as at UV distifection line 254nm. So this item is a good material in UV-C disinfection applicaion such as employed as sleeve of a good material in UV-C disinfection application such as employed as sleeve of low pressure ozone free UV-C lamps.
RE418F with OH<150ppm can be used as sleeve of low pressure ozone free UV-C lamps.
