5 tines in a 3+2 layout, offset so they intermesh on closing — grip is not limited by tine spacing
Holds thin and small pieces as well as bulky loads — plate, pipe, brush and timber together
Cross-hatched (diamond-pattern) tip faces for extra friction — bites where plain tines slip
Single cylinder mounted inside the upper jaw housing — protected from debris, only the pins show through the side plates

Non-rotating rigid head — no motor, no slewing ring, no rotation plumbing
Box-built tines — thick side plates with internal bracing instead of solid blocks
