- What is the shelf life of this prepreg? It has a shelf life of 6 months when stored at -18°C. At room temperature (20°C), it remains usable for approximately 1 month. Always keep the material sealed in a freezer bag to prevent moisture absorption.
- Can this prepreg be cured without an autoclave? Yes, the low-temperature cure system allows vacuum bag only (VBO) curing. However, for optimal mechanical properties, we recommend using an oven or heated press with vacuum.
- Is the resin system epoxy or polyester? This is an epoxy-based prepreg. Epoxy offers superior mechanical properties and adhesion compared to polyester. If you require a different resin system, please inquire about custom options.
- What is the typical glass transition temperature (Tg) after cure? The cured Tg is approximately 120-130°C, depending on the cure cycle. Higher post-cure temperatures can increase Tg upon request.
