A: Cleaning frequency depends on your water quality. Typically, inspect the filter every 1–2 months. If you see visible debris buildup, simply remove the mesh and rinse it with water. For heavily contaminated water, you may need to clean more frequently. -
Q: Can this filter remove bacteria or chemicals?
A: This pre-filter is designed for sediment and particulate removal (down to 20 microns). It does not remove dissolved substances, bacteria, viruses, or chemicals. For comprehensive purification, use it as a pre-filter before a carbon filter, UV system, or reverse osmosis system. -
Q: What is the maximum water pressure this filter can handle?
A: The maximum operating pressure is 150 psi (10 bar). For pressures above this, please contact us for a reinforced version. We recommend installing a pressure reducing valve if your system pressure regularly exceeds 80 psi. -
Q: Is the 1.5-inch thread compatible with 1-inch pipes?
A: The filter has a 1.5-inch female thread. If your pipes are 1 inch, you will need a reducing bushing (1.5" to 1") or a coupling. We can also provide adapters upon request. -
