1. What is the maximum temperature this screen can withstand?
The working temperature range depends on the environment. In air, 304 stainless steel can handle up to 400°C; in acidic solutions, the maximum temperature is lower (typically up to 60°C for concentrated acids). Please consult our engineers for specific conditions.
2. Can the embossed screen be used for reverse osmosis pre-filtration?
Yes, it is suitable as a pre-filter to remove larger particles before RO membranes. The 0.5mm hole size effectively captures particles >500 microns.
3. Is the screen resistant to hydrochloric acid?
304 stainless steel has limited resistance to hydrochloric acid, especially at high concentrations and temperatures. For strong HCl environments, we recommend our 316L or Hastelloy screens. For dilute HCl (<1%) at room temperature, 304 may be acceptable.
4. What surface finishes are available?
Standard finish is embossed (raised pattern). We also offer plain (flat) perforated screens, or combinations with woven wire mesh upon request.
