Liquid chlorine is a basic chemical raw material that participates in various chemical reactions after gasification, with extremely wide applications:
1, Metallurgical Industry: Used in the refining of rare metals such as titanium and magnesium.
2, Organic Chemical Industry: An important raw material for the synthesis of polyvinyl chloride, plastics, pesticides, detergents, epichlorohydrin, chloroacetic acid, and other products.
3, Inorganic Chemical Industry: Used in the production of inorganic chemicals such as sodium hypochlorite, ferric chloride, bleaching powder, and aluminum trichloride.
4, Water Treatment: Used as a strong oxidant for the disinfection and purification of tap water and for the treatment of industrial wastewater.
5, Textile and Paper Industry: Used in the bleaching process of textiles and paper.
The production of liquid chlorine is a core component of the chlor-alkali industry, usually produced in conjunction with caustic soda. Its complete process mainly consists of three steps: chlorine pretreatment, chlorine liquefaction, and liquid chlorine storage and filling, supplemented by strict safety measures.
