Product Overview

This high concentration sodium hypochlorite generator is built for marine vessels, offshore platforms and coastal oil terminals where water disinfection, biofouling control and pipeline sanitization are critical. The system produces 10%–15% sodium hypochlorite solution on board or on platform using brine as raw material. It can be used for ballast water treatment, seawater pipeline disinfection, cooling system biofouling control and general sanitation. Compared with pre-stored chemical disinfectants, on-site generation reduces weight, storage risk and supply chain dependency in remote marine environments.

Technical Principle

The system applies compact ion membrane electrolysis optimized for rolling motion, high humidity and salt spray conditions. Seawater or prepared brine is filtered and fed into the electrolytic cell. Under DC electrolysis, chlorine gas is generated at the anode and sodium hydroxide at the cathode. The ion membrane ensures efficient separation and improves NaClO concentration. After absorption, the disinfectant is stored in a corrosion-resistant tank and dosed automatically into ballast water lines, cooling water systems or pipeline flushing circuits. The control system monitors water flow, residual chlorine, hydrogen concentration and equipment status.
