Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the difference between zero spangle and regular spangle? Zero spangle (also called minimized spangle) has no visible zinc crystal patterns, giving a smooth, uniform matte surface. Regular spangle coils have distinct flower-like patterns. Zero spangle is preferred for painting because it reduces paint consumption and provides a better finish.
- Why is Z100 zinc coating suitable for PPGI base? Z100 (100 g/m² total) offers sufficient corrosion resistance while keeping the coil cost-effective. It also provides a good surface for paint adhesion without excessive zinc thickness that could crack during forming.
- What width and coil weight do you offer for this product? Standard widths range from 600 mm to 1500 mm, and coil weights are typically 3-8 tons per coil. Custom sizes are available upon request with minimum order quantities.
- Is the coil guaranteed to be free of white rust? We apply chromate passivation treatment to prevent white rust formation during storage. Oiling is also available as an extra protection. Proper storage conditions (dry, ventilated area) are recommended.
- Can this coil be used for outdoor applications? Yes, when used as a base for PPGI, the final painted product is suitable for outdoor roofing and cladding. The galvanized layer itself provides good corrosion resistance, but the paint topcoat adds additional UV and weather protection.
- What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)? Our MOQ for this specification is 25 tons, but we can accommodate smaller trial orders for new customers. Please contact our sales team for details.
